Instructions
Make Tahini
Toast the sesame seeds on medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir constantly until sesame seeds are lightly browned.
Once sesame seeds are lightly browned, remove from heat and let cool completely.
Transfer the cooled toasted sesame seeds to a food processor and process until a sand like mixture forms (approx. 1 to 2 minutes).
Add the olive oil and continue processing until the mixture reaches a pourable consistency. Be patient during this step. The longer you process the mixture, the smoother the Tahini will get and tastier the Hummus will be.
Make Hummus
Add boiling water to the frozen shelled edamame and set aside for 3 to 5 minutes.
Process all ingredients until the mixture reaches a smooth and creamy consistency. Give it a taste. If you prefer the hummus to be even more spicy, feel free to add an extra teaspoon of Nature's Flavors chili pepper extract and continue processing.
Enjoy the Edamame Hummus with pita and your favorite veggies!
